The Clarkstown Auxiliary Police |
The Clarkstown Auxiliary Police Force is a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of the quality of life within the Town of Clarkstown and exists to supplement the Clarkstown Police Department in the regulation of traffic, crowd control, protect life and property and preserve the peace. The Auxiliary Police train for and perform these activities as well as limited patrol duties, acting as the eyes and ears of the regular patrol force. Those members of our community who wish to assist our local police in various law enforcement duties can join our Clarkstown Police Auxiliary. To be considered for volunteer duty, one must be a U.S. Citizen over 21 years of age, live in Clarkstown, and possess a valid New York State drivers license. Auxiliary police assist with traffic and crowd control at parades and special events, assist with residential house checks and crime prevention, and they act as support to the regular police patrols. For more information about the requirements to join, call 639-5887.
